ICRI in Zimbabwe

ICRI's involvement in Zimbabwe began in 2006, initially providing consultancy and training to local NGOs. This expanded into a more permanent role following a request from local government authorities, leading to the establishment of ICRI Zimbabwe in 2007, headquartered in Harare.

Marirangwe Early Childhood Center

  • ICRI Zimbabwe partnered with Marirangwe School to open an Early Childhood Education (ECE) center.

  • The center nurtures 56 ECE children, offering basic education, hot meals, clean water, and medical check-ins.

Supporting Women and Girls (SWAG)

  • ICRI Zimbabwe assists 42 girls through the SWAG program.

ICRI Champion College Education Fund

  • The fund supports four young Zimbabwean girls, providing financial assistance for their university education.

Grassroots Coalition

  • ICRI Zimbabwe offers nationwide support to community-based organizations serving children and families.

  • Services include training, capacity building, advocacy, infrastructure development, seed grants, and organizational mentoring to strengthen grassroots organizations and advocate for vulnerable citizens.
